On July 31, the Olympic medal draw in judo in the weight category up to 90 kg among men took place in Paris.
The gold medal was won by the representative of Georgia Lasha Bekauri, who in the final fight won a convincing victory over the Japanese Sanshiro Murao and became a two-time Olympic champion.
On the way to the final, Lasha won the following victories: in the 1/8 finals, he defeated the Bulgarian Ivaylo Ivanov, in the 1/4 finals - the Korean Han Yu-Yeop, and in the 1/2 finals - the Spaniard Tristani Mosakhlishvili.
