The fights of the 1/4 finals among young men at the European U16 Boxing Championship took place in Sarajevo. Following the results of the quarterfinal fights, 8 Armenian boxers advanced to the semifinals.
A total of 9 athletes competed in Armenia on June 27, 8 of whom won. Among the victories there were particularly impressive ones: Artyom Stepanyan defeated the Croat by direct knockout, and Samvel Siramagyan (75 kg) very confidently defeated the Lithuanian ahead of schedule.

48 kg: Simon Simonyan (Armenia) defeated Adir Argonov (Israel).
50 kg: Arno Darchinyan (Armenia) defeated Mario Nakic (Croatia).
54 kg: Tigran Hovsepyan (Armenia) defeated Yakubas Nedzinskis (Lithuania).
60 kg: Martin Sahakyan (Armenia) defeated Vusal Khalilov (Azerbaijan).
63 kg: Alex Petrosyan (Armenia) defeated Dino Selak (Croatia).
66 kg: Artyom Stepanyan (Armenia) knocked out Mateo Bobas (Croatia).
75 kg: Samvel Siramagyan (Armenia) defeated Drutel Edwin (Lithuania) by a tench knockout.
+80 kg: Hrach Khachatryan (Armenia) defeated Vasil Katsarsky (Bulgaria).
The only defeat on the 5th day of the tournament was suffered by Alain Stepanyan (70 kg), who lost to Peter Kurosh (Poland).
Two girls from Armenia will also perform in the semifinals: Susanna Ishkhanyan (46 kg) and Amest Afrikyan (48 kg). Thus, the Armenian team will win at least 10 medals at the tournament in Sarajevo, and we will find out soon what kind of medals.
