On July 6, the second day of the 2024 European Championship (U20) in freestyle wrestling took place in Novi Sad. The evening program included final fights for medals in weight categories up to 57, 65, 70, 79 and 97 kg.
From the Armenian team, the only medalist of the tournament was Hayk Gasparyan, competing in the weight category up to 57 kg, defeating the Georgian wrestler in the final bout with a score of 10:4. Throughout the tournament, he demonstrated excellent technique and a high level of preparation. In the semifinals, Ike was unable to defeat Russian athlete Lev Pavlov, losing to him with a score of 4:1. Lev Pavlov subsequently became the champion in this weight category.
Throughout the tournament, Ike played 4 fights, earning a total of 31 points, while losing only 8 points.

Ike already has some impressive accomplishments in his career. In addition to his medal from the current tournament, he also has a silver medal from the 2021 U-17 European Championships, where he competed in the 45kg weight category.
