The game began actively, and already in the 11th minute, Kazim Laçi opened the scoring for Albania. The Croatians, known for their fighting spirit and skill, did not give up and continued to attack. Their efforts were rewarded in the 74th minute when Andrej Kramarić scored an equalizer, restoring balance on the scoreboard.
Misfortune befell the Albanians in the 76th minute when Klaus Gjasula, attempting to intercept a dangerous attack, accidentally sent the ball into his own net, making the score 2-1 in favor of Croatia. However, Gjasula quickly redeemed himself and, in the final seconds of the match, in the 95th minute, scored a goal in the opponent's net, setting the final score at 2-2. For the 34-year-old Gjasula, this was his first goal for the national team.
Croatia, despite their aggressive and persistent play, could not hold on to the victory, while Albania showed real determination, snatching a draw at the very last moment. Andrej Kramarić was named the best player of the match for his activity and goal, which became a significant moment in the game.
