Judoka Alain Apraamian, representing Uruguay in the under 81 kg weight category, concluded his performances at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
In the 1/16 finals, the 36-year-old Armenian from Uruguay lost to the reigning Olympic champion, Japanese Takanori Nagase.
For Apraamian, these were his second Olympic Games; he also lost in the 1/16 finals in Tokyo.
Alain Apraamian was born in an Armenian family in Uruguay. His older brother Pablo was also a judoka and competed in the 2016 Rio Olympics.
