Ani Hovsepyan (66 kg) scored a stunning knockout victory over New Zealander Cara Wharerau and advanced to the quarter-finals of the Olympic boxing qualification.
Armenia's European Champion of 2022, Ani Hovsepyan , won the first round on points and then knocked out her opponent in the second round.

Ani's next bout will be the final for the Olympic license against Ireland's Grainne Walsh, scheduled for June 2nd.
Ani Hovsepyan started the tournament with a 5-0 victory against Blessing Oraekwe from Nigeria, and then secured a knockout win against Cara Wharerau. Grainne Walsh, on the other hand, won 5-0 against a North Korean opponent in the first stage and today secured another victory with the same score against an Ivorian boxer.
