On June 15, in Tacoma, Washington, Toro Boxing held a boxing event. Armenian Aram Avagyan (11-1-3) and American Austin Brooks (12-0-1) faced off in the ring, showcasing a truly impressive fight in the main event of the evening.
The bout lasted all 10 scheduled rounds, which proved to be a real test for both boxers. From the first moments, it was clear that a tense confrontation awaited us. Avagyan, known for his aggressive fighting style and ability to find weaknesses in his opponent's defense, tried to impose his style from the start. Brooks, in turn, did not relent in his pressure and demonstrated excellent technique and resilience.
The judges struggled to reach a consensus for a long time, and the final result reflected the intensity and equality of this confrontation. One judge awarded Avagyan the victory with a score of 97-93, another gave the same score to Brooks, and the third judge scored it a draw at 95-95. Thus, the fight ended in a draw.
Despite the draw, the WBA Continental champion belt remained with the American Austin Brooks, as the title does not transfer to the opponent in the event of a draw.
