Boxer Aram Faniian (25-2), representing Ukraine and Armenia, won the WBO Global championship belt in the junior welterweight division.
In the main event of the boxing night held in Kyiv on August 3, Aram Faniian defeated Mexican José Antonio Rodríguez (34-10) by technical knockout in the 11th round.

For the 27-year-old boxer, this is the second championship belt won in the last two fights. In January 2024, he defeated another Mexican, Francisco Mercado, and claimed the WBF championship title.
