On June 30, the 2024 European Youth Championship for boys and girls under 16 concluded in Sarajevo. The Armenian team performed excellently at this tournament, winning 10 medals - 3 gold, 6 silver, and 1 bronze.
Two boys and one girl became European champions in the Armenian team.
Hamest Afrikyan (48 kg) defeated Italian Giorgia La Rosa in the final by unanimous decision.
Simon Simonyan (48 kg) defeated Azerbaijani Nihat Gasimov in the final by unanimous decision.
Samvel Siramargyan (75 kg) defeated Russian Aseniy Stolknikov in the final with a score of 4-1.
