According to the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, Armenian national team wrestlers are heading to the army and will serve for two years in the sports company of the Armed Forces of Armenia.
The following Armenian wrestlers — medalists of World and European Championships, as well as the bronze medalist of the Paris Olympic Games, Malkhas Amoyan — have gone to serve:
- Malkhas Amoyan
- Arsen Harutyunyan
- Vazgen Tevanyan
- Gevorg Tadevosyan
- Arman Andreasyan
- Manvel Khndzrtsyan
From November 18 to 24, the 2024 World Military Wrestling Championship will take place in Yerevan. The aforementioned wrestlers will participate in this tournament.
