On June 6 in Budapest started the international freestyle wrestling tournament named after “Pole Imre & Varga Janosz - 2024”. Today wrestlers in the weight categories of 57 kg, 61 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, 79 kg, 97 kg and 125 kg started their performances.
Arsen Harutyunyan became the winner of this tournament in the weight category up to 61 kg, defeating in the final Kyrgyz wrestler - Taiyrbek Zhumashbek, with the score 4-1.
Today Arsen had 3 bouts, counting the final, and the total sum of points gained and lost is 29-9.
In the 1/4 finals his opponent was Georgian Giorgi Goniashvili, whom he defeated with the score 5:18.
In the semifinal bout his opponent was Iranian - Shahdad Ali Markdaheh, whom he confidently defeated with the score 3-7.
Arman Andreasyan (70 kg) also became the winner of the tournament. In the final, he was supposed to wrestle against Vazgen Tevanyan, but Vazgen refused to compete and became the silver medalist.
