Armenian boxer Artur Bazeyan (57 kg) unfortunately lost to Filipino Carlo Paalam with the score 1-4 in the 1/8 final of the Olympic qualification and lost his chances to qualify for the Olympic Games 2024 in Paris.
Carlo Paalam is a silver medallist at the 2020 Olympic Games, but Bazeyan put on a very tough fight. The judges' scores were very close and the win could have gone to Bazeyan, but the judges decided otherwise.

At the tournament in Bangkok, Bazeyan had two wins over a Moroccan and a Jordanian, but lost to a Filipino at the 1/8 finals stage.
