Armenia's Artur Bazeyan (57 kg) won his second victory at the Olympic qualification in Bangkok and advanced to the 1/8 finals.
In 1/16 finals Bazeyan took revenge on Jordan's Youssef Iashash for his defeat at the World Cup. Bazeyan won by a 3-2 split decision of the judges. Arthur took the first round according to the scores of all five judges, in the second round 3 judges gave the victory to the Jordanian, and in the last round Bazeyan was better according to three judges.

The next opponent of Artur Bazeyan is the silver medallist of the Olympic Games 2020, champion of Asia 2022 Carlo Paalam (Philippines). This fight will take place on 30 May.
To get an Olympic quota Arthur needs to get 3 more wins, or lose in the semi-finals and then defeat the other loser in the semi-finals.
