Armenian gymnast Artur Davtyan, who won a silver medal at the Paris Olympics, is still not ready to give up on his dream of Olympic gold. The 31-year-old athlete intends to compete in his fifth Olympic Games at the age of 35 in Los Angeles in 2028.
"Unfortunately, I feel a bit sad in my heart. We went through a very long and difficult journey to win this medal, and I won a silver medal. But I will not give up, and I am preparing for the next Olympics to return home with a gold medal. Thank you to my coaches for their support," the gymnast wrote on his social media.
Let us recall that Artur Davtyan scored 14.966 points in the vault final and won the silver medal at the Paris Olympics, finishing behind Filipino Carlos Yulo, who scored 15.166 points.
Davtyan now has a bronze medal from Tokyo 2020 and a silver medal from Paris 2024.
