Greco-Roman wrestler Artur Sargsyan (97 kg, Russia) will go to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. He won his license at the last qualifying tournament in Istanbul.
Sargsyan defeated German Lukas Lazogianis in the final bout for the Olympic quota and won the license. In the course of the tournament Arthur defeated Ukrainian Vladen Kozilyuk, Swiss Vladen Kozilyuk and Austrian Markus Ragginger before reaching the semifinals.
Two Armenian wrestlers will compete at the Olympic Games in the weight category up to 97 kg in Greco-Roman wrestling:
Artur Aleksanyan (Armenia).
Artur Sargsyan (Russia).
