On July 24, a press conference was held in the Czech city of Ostrava with the head coach of "Urartu", Dmitry Gunko, before the match against "Banik" in the second round of the Conference League qualification.
Press Conference of Dmitry Gunko:
— During the match against Estonian "Kalev," you had visa problems with the Russian players of "Urartu". Is there such a problem now?
— Some of the players stayed in Yerevan, some came to the match. There's nothing more to say on this topic.
— What do you know about your opponent?
— Naturally, we have studied the opponent well. We are confident that tomorrow "Banik" will play with four defenders, although they previously played with five defenders. We are prepared for this.
— What do you expect from the match?
— It will be a very interesting and tough match. I think there will be a lot of physical battles, which is a distinctive feature of "Banik". Naturally, we are ready for this. It will be a great experience for us, especially for the players. We hope that luck will be on our side.
— Tomorrow there will be a full 12,000-seat stadium. How ready are you for such pressure?
— Yes, we are well aware of the supporters "Banik" has; it is one of the most attended teams in the Czech Republic. This naturally affects the matches. An important aspect for us is patience and resilience throughout the game.
— Which of the "Banik" players would you highlight as the most dangerous for your team?
— Midfielder Rigo has very good qualities. I would also highlight the team captain (Everton) and the left-back. Good players also come off the bench; we have studied all of them and are ready to face them.
The match "Banik" (Czech Republic) vs "Urartu" (Armenia) will take place in Ostrava on July 25 at 21:00 Yerevan time.
