The Olympic Games in freestyle wrestling have recently ended, where Olympic champions were determined in all weight categories. The competitions were remembered for many interesting, unforgettable and, most importantly, sensational events.
One of the most sensational moments was the magnificent performance of the Uzbek wrestler Razambek Zhamalov in the weight category up to 74 kg. On the way to the final, Razambek defeated almost all the leaders of his weight category. In the 1/16 finals, he defeated the Olympic medalist from Belarus Magomedkhabib Kadimagomedov. In the 1/8 finals, he defeated the European champion from Slovakia Taimuraz Salkazanov. In the 1/4 finals, he defeated the representative of Albania Chermen Valiev, and in the semi-finals, he defeated the representative of Tajikistan Viktor Rassadin. In the final, for the Olympic gold, Razambek very quickly dealt with the Japanese Daichi Takatani and became the Olympic champion.
The Uzbek government decided to highly commend Razambek's merits at the Olympic Games, and a decision has already been made on the award:
