Armenian heavyweight boxer Davit Chaloyan lost to Spaniard Ayoub Gadfa by unanimous decision in the quarterfinals of the 2024 Olympic Games and concluded his performances in Paris without winning a medal.
Despite the defeat, Chaloyan performed very well. He gave a real fight to the reigning European champion Ayoub Gadfa. In fact, this match could have ended in favor of the Armenian, but the judges decided otherwise. The fight was very close and could have gone either way.
In any case, the Olympics went well for David. In the round of 16, he defeated one of the tournament favorites, Briton Delicious Ori, and in the quarterfinals, he had an equal fight with the strong Spaniard, who had previously defeated Kazakhstani Kamsybek Kunkabayev.
