Armenia secured an Olympic boxing quota in the last fight of the last day of the final qualifying tournament in Bangkok. The license was obtained by Davit Chaloyan in the super heavyweight category.
Thus, Armenia will have one representative in boxing at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. However, there will also be invited places from the tripartite commission for boxing at the 2024 Olympic Games. One place each in the weight categories: 57 kg, 63.5 kg, 71 kg, 80 kg among men, and in all women's weights except 75 kg. It is still unknown who will get these places.
Davit Chaloyan (+92 kg) won the final fight for the Olympic quota in Bangkok, defeating Ireland's Martin McDonagh with a score of 3-2, securing the first and only boxing quota for Armenia at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Throughout the tournament, Chaloyan achieved three victories: over Denis Latypov (Bahrain), Ruzbeh Safari (Iran), and Martin McDonagh (Ireland).
