Emma Poghosova (epee) and Daria Malysheva (foil) will represent Armenia at the Olympic qualification tournament in fencing.
The European qualification will be held in Luxembourg on 26 April. Only the winners of the tournament in each discipline will get the Olympic quota. The remaining quotas have already been awarded to athletes in the top 50 of the world ranking.
Emma Poghosova has been representing Armenia for a long time, but Russian Daria Malysheva started representing Armenia at international tournaments since 2023.
Athletes from Russia were not admitted to the fencing licence tournament, thus Russian fencers will not compete at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
