Armenian MMA fighter Edmen Shahbazyan had his 11th fight in the UFC on Saturday. At UFC Vegas 96: Cannonier vs Borralho, Shahbazyan faced 36-year-old American Gerald Meerschaert.
In Las Vegas, Edmen Shahbazyan (13-5) lost to Gerald Meerschaert (37-17) via a submission choke in the second round. For the 26-year-old Armenian, this was his fifth loss in the UFC, alongside six wins.
