17-year-old forward Anthony Boyajian participated in the MLS Next U17 All-Star match as part of the West team. The game took place on July 23 in Columbus, Ohio.
In the 12th minute, Boyajian scored a goal and opened the scoring in the match. This goal went down in history as the first goal by a player from the MLS NEXT Elite Academy in an All-Star game. Boyajian's goal did not help his team secure a victory. The game ended with the East winning 4-2.
The best player of the match was Kavan Sullivan, who at the age of 14 has already made his debut in MLS with the Philadelphia Union.
Boyajian is a product of FC Glendale and currently plays for Albion LA in the MLS Next U17 league.
