Fifteen-year-old figure skater Sofia Titova has already received an Armenian passport. This was announced by Karen Giloyan in his interview. According to the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, Sofia Titova can bring Armenia its first medal at the Winter Olympic Games.
Sofia Titova is a student of the famous figure skater Evgeni Plushenko's school. Despite her short but already very successful career, she has managed to win many awards. Among her achievements are victories in the Russian Grand Prix stages among juniors and prize places in the Moscow championships. In 2023, at the Russian Adult Championships, Titova took an honorable fourth place.
Karen Giloyan highly appreciates the potential of the young athlete and hopes that she will be able to glorify Armenia on the international stage. Obtaining an Armenian passport opens up new opportunities for Sofia to perform in international competitions under the Armenian flag.
