Football Club "Alashkert" is approaching the start of the Armenian Championship in a renewed form. From the previous roster, only two players remain in the team. Before the start of the season, "Alashkert" announced a new team lineup led by a long-familiar coach. Abraham Khashmanyan, who previously led the team for many years, has returned to the team.
Among the new players, there are already familiar faces who previously played in "Alashkert" or other Armenian teams. There is only one player who has not played in Armenia before, the Brazilian footballer Murilo Rosa from the third league of Portugal.
"Alashkert" has been reorganized from scratch. This time, the focus is on Armenian footballers. The team is composed of 70 percent of players who have played in Armenian clubs. "We are ready to fight in the new season. We are here to win," stated Bagrat Navoyan, president of the Alashkert football club.
Currently, there are 24 players on the roster, 9 of whom are foreign players.
The players from last year's roster who remain are 21-year-old goalkeeper Vlad Chatunts and 33-year-old central defender Vadim Paramanov.
