Italian freestyle wrestler Frank Chamiso has lost his chances of qualifying for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. In the course of the licence tournament in Istanbul, Chamizo lost in the 1/4 finals to Chermen Valiev of Albania.
Subsequently, Valiev lost to Viktor Rassadin of Tajikistan, so Chamizo lost the chance for the consolation block and the chance to qualify for Paris. By the way, if Valiev had won the consolation block, Hrayr Alikhanian would have also performed in the consolation block, but that will not be the case.
In the final fight for the quota, Rassadin snatched victory from Valiev in the last seconds.
It should be reminded that earlier Frank Chamizo competed at the European Qualification in Baku, where he was supposed to win the quota, but the judges robbed him, giving the victory to Azerbaijan's Turan Bayramov. UWW then recognised the mistake and disqualified the judges, but the result of the bout remained in force, Bayramov got the quota, and Chamizo fought at the last qualification tournament in Istanbul, where he failed to win the quota.
