Inter Milan footballer Henrikh Mkhitaryan gave an interview to DAZN ahead of the new Serie A season, where he discussed the upcoming season and where he plans to end his career.
"It would be great to retire at Inter. However, it doesn’t depend only on me, but also on how the club sees our future.
"I will do my best to stay in football and at Inter for as long as possible. We will move forward step by step, and then we will see. In the end, I will decide whether to continue my career or stop," said the 35-year-old Armenian midfielder.
Mkhitaryan also evaluated his new competitor for a place in the lineup, Piotr Zielinski.
"We are very happy that Zielinski is now our teammate and not a rival. He is very strong and will be a great asset to us, just like Frattesi was last season, who often made a difference, whether coming off the bench or starting the match.
Everyone will get their chance; there are many games ahead. In my opinion, Piotr is more technical than I am. I can’t say that we are similar because he is a very good player. But it’s better to have players with different characteristics in the team," added Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
