Karateka Gor Nersisyan (84 kg) won a bronze medal, bringing Armenia its fourth medal at the BRICS Games 2024 in Kazan.
The winner in this weight category was Eduard Gasparyan from Russia.
During the tournament, Gor Nersisyan defeated athletes from Uzbekistan and Serbia, and in the semifinals, he lost to Eduard Gasparyan. In the fight for bronze, the Armenian athlete was stronger than the Chinese competitor.
