The Armenian men's tennis team started with a victory in the first match of the Davis Cup (Group 4), securing a confident win over the Albanian team with an overall score of 2-0.

Mikael Avanesyan — Martin Muedini 7-5, 6-0
Harutyun Sofyan — Daniel Ostap 3-6, 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-3)
The doubles match was not necessary as the Armenian team had already secured the victory in the singles matches.

Mikael Avanesyan, one of the youngest players on the team, showcased top-class performance and confidently defeated his opponent Martin Muedini with a score of 7-5, 6-0. This victory demonstrated that the young athlete has the potential to become a team leader in the future.
The second match was more intense. Harutyun Sofyan, the most experienced player on the team, faced Daniel Ostap. Despite a tough start and losing the first set, Sofyan managed to level the game and, showing tremendous perseverance, won the next two sets in tie-breaks, finishing the match with a score of 3-6, 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-3).
Ahead: Match Against Malta
The next match of the Armenian team will take place on June 13 against the Maltese team. In case of victory in this match, the Armenian team will advance to the playoffs, which will be an important step towards further progress in the tournament.
