The 22-year-old French swimmer Léon Marchand continues to win medals at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. On August 2, he won gold with an Olympic record in the 200 meters individual medley.
Léon outpaced the Briton by more than one second.

Léon Marchand is on track with the legendary Michael Phelps and has already broken three of his Olympic records. In Paris, Marchand has won gold in the 200 meters individual medley, 400 meters individual medley, 200 meters breaststroke, and 200 meters butterfly. He still has more events ahead of him.
The French team already has 10 gold medals at the Paris Olympics. The hosts are currently in second place in the medal standings, trailing China.
