Two Armenian wrestlers met in the fight for the bronze medal in the weight category up to 77 kg: Aram Vardanyan, representing Uzbekistan, and Malkhas Amoyan from Armenia.
In a tough fight between the two Armenians, Malkhas Amoyan won with a score of 6:5. After the end of the fight, he did not loudly celebrate his victory, but instead hugged Aram Vardanyan and calmed him down.
