On August 6, the 2nd day of the 2024 Olympic Games wrestling competitions is taking place in Paris in the weight categories up to 77, 97 kg in Greco-Roman and 50 kg in women's wrestling.
Three-time European champion Malkhas Amoyan competed in the 77 kg weight category for the Armenian national team. He confidently started the tournament in the 1/8 finals, defeating Finland's Johnny Sarkkinen with a score of 8:0. The decisive moment of the fight came with a spectacular throw by Malkhas, which led to a crushing victory.
In the 1/4 finals, his opponent was Iranian Amin KavianiNejad. Malkhas defeated him with a score of 3:0 and advanced to the semi-finals.
Malkhas' opponent in the semi-finals will be Japanese wrestler Nao Kusaka.
