On June 28, the 54th international freestyle wrestling tournament in memory of the outstanding athlete - five-time world champion, nine-time USSR champion Ali Aliyev - started in Kaspiysk.
The tournament is one of the most prestigious competitions in the world of freestyle wrestling and traditionally brings together the strongest and most talented athletes in its arena.
On the first day of the tournament, wrestlers in weight categories up to 57, 65, 74, 86, and 97 kg took to the mat. Preliminary and semi-final fights have already taken place, as a result of which the finalists in these weight categories have become known.
