Undefeated MMA fighter Maurice Boleian (8-0) gave an interview in Armenian for Fight Wave channel.
The 25-year-old Armenian won all of his fights early - by choke. After two fights he spent in ONE FC, and now he signed a contract with the French league Ares FC and is now in Paris waiting for his debut. However, Maurice wants to be in the UFC by the end of the year.
A few of Boleyan's quotes from the interview:
"Until now, people in Armenia still can't realise that one of the world legends of MMA is an Armenian (Gegard Mousasi). People in Armenia are far from MMA, they don't understand what it is."
"Armenian athletes have always represented our nation honourably in the major leagues of the World. That Giorgio Petrosyan, that Marat Grigoryan and many others. My motivation is to match that and always represent my nation with my head held high."
"It is very important for me to always represent Armenia, to have the Armenian flag at the most prestigious tournaments. This is my goal. I also want to give positive emotions to our nation, which is going through a difficult time."
"I am very much looking forward to Arman Tsarukyan's rematch with Islam Makhachev, for Arman to become the first Armenian UFC champion, it is very important for all of us. In general, I wanted to become the first Armenian champion, but let it be Arman."
"Most likely this year I will be in the UFC. I signed a contract with a very influential agency and set a goal for them to get into the UFC."
