The Armenian U16 men's team defeated Gibraltar U16 with a score of 90-38 in the third round of the European Basketball Championship in Division "C" and advanced to the tournament playoffs from second place in the group.
In the Armenian team, the most effective player was Bagrat Khachatryan, who scored 18 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 6 steals. Edgar Agabekyan added another 17 points to the Armenian team's tally.
In the group stage, the Armenian U16 team defeated San Marino (72-53) and Gibraltar (90-38) but lost to Kosovo (60-88).
On July 13, the Armenian team will play against Albania in the playoffs for a place in the final. In the other playoff match, Kosovo and Azerbaijan will compete.
