On July 24, a press conference was held in Abovyan with the head coach of "Noah," Rui Mota, before the match against Maltese "Sliema" in the second round of the Conference League qualification.
"Undoubtedly, the more matches we play in Europe, the better for us. We only recently started our journey together as a team and have made great progress. With each match, we will look better and better. As for our upcoming opponent, "Sliema," I can't say much. Friendly matches differ from official ones; we have already played two official matches this season, which is an advantage for us, while for "Sliema," it will be their debut game. But everything will depend on the situation in the match and the physical readiness of the players. They retained their coach from last season, which might be a plus for "Sliema," and they also kept the core of their team.
I am focused on what my team will show on the field tomorrow, as we did a good job this week. I expect that tomorrow we will look better than in the two previous matches against "Shkëndija."
We aim to win all matches, whether at home or away. It doesn't matter who our opponent is; we must beat everyone. This doesn't put pressure on us; we want to become a great team, and to do that, we need to win every match," said Rui Mota.
"The new coach brought a winning mentality with him, and I think that step by step, we will get better and better. Soon we will show our full potential," added Ognjen Čančarević.
The match "Noah" (Armenia) vs "Sliema" (Malta) will take place on July 25 in Abovyan at 20:00 Yerevan time.
