A day before the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, the first world record was set. Archer Lim Si-hyeon from South Korea scored 694 points with 72 shots, surpassing the previous world record.
On July 25, the ranking round in individual competitions for men and women in archery took place. All participants of the men's and women's tournaments took part. They will all continue to compete in the main competitions, and based on the results of the ranking round, the playoff bracket will be formed: the first place will compete against the 64th, the second against the 63rd, and so on.
Korean Lim Si-hyeon took first place in the women's ranking with a world record of 694 points.
