Javakhk MMA fighter Nair Melikyan (14-2) will compete in the RCC Hard lightweight grand prix. On 8 June, Nair will fight against Amir-Arslan Akhmedov in a fist-fighting rules bout.
Nair was previously a candidate for a shot at the UFC, but his Contender Series appearance was cancelled. Nair has since competed in tournaments in Armenia, Serbia and China.
His last two fights were in kickboxing and boxing.
