These days, the 2024 Muay Thai World Championship is taking place in the Greek city of Patras. Armenia's representative, Narek Khachikyan (57 kg), started the tournament successfully.
In the first bout, the Armenian athlete won by unanimous decision against Thai Supawat Songkong.

In the quarterfinals, Khachikyan will face Frenchman Darren Rolland.
Roman Sedrakyan (60 kg) and Hayk Chilingaryan (60 kg, U23) also participated in the tournament in Patras from Armenia, but they lost in their first fights.
Another Armenian, Ovsep Aslanyan (51 kg), is competing as part of the Russian team.
