On June 20, the Greco-Roman wrestling competitions at the 2024 BRICS Games concluded in Kazan. Armenian wrestlers representing Russia, Narek Ohanian (72 kg) and Vaag Margaryan (87 kg), became gold medalists of the tournament.
Narek Ohanian confidently defeated Kazakh Meirzhan Shermakhanbet in the final of the 72 kg weight category. During the tournament, Narek also secured victories over representatives from Belarus and Afghanistan.

Vaag Margaryan proved stronger than Belarusian Igor Yaroshevich in the final of the 87 kg weight category. In the preliminary matches, he defeated representatives from Azerbaijan, Abkhazia, and China.
