Italian freestyle wrestler Frank Chamiso will go to the Olympic Games in Paris and compete in the weight category up to 74 kg.
Due to the non-admission of Belarusian wrestler Magomedhabib Kadimagomedov to the Olympics, his ticket goes to Frank Chamiso, the Italian Olympic Committee reports, coni.it .
Earlier we wrote that Frank Chamizo and a number of other wrestlers will receive Olympic quotas instead of the banned Russians and Belarusians.
It should be recalled that Chamizo scandalously lost his quota due to a mistake by the judges at the European Qualification in Baku, when he lost to Azerbaijani Turan Bayramov. During the fight, the judges made several mistakes in favor of Bayramov, this was later confirmed by the independent UWW commission, but the result of the fight remained unchanged, and Chamizo did not receive a quota.
But now justice has prevailed for Chamizo, but, unfortunately, not for Magomedhabib Kadimagomedov and Zaurbek Sidakov, who will miss the Olympic Games only because of politics.
Chinese wrestler Liu Feng will probably get a quota instead of Sidakov.
