June 13, 2024, 9 p.m.
19-year-old Armenian defender Mark Gevorgyan has officially become a player for the German club Hannover. The young footballer will play for the Hannover U23 team in the Third Bundesliga, marking a significant step in his professional career.
High Praise from the Chief Scout
Hannover's chief scout, Max Lufthl, has high praise for Mark Gevorgyan and his prospects at the club. He noted:
"Mark stands out for his high-intensity play in both directions. As a right-back, he always actively pushes forward and is ready to take certain risks. Additionally, his diligence and constant drive to improve make him ideal for what coach Daniel Stendel expects from a right-back. Despite his young age, he has already gained a lot of experience in the UEFA Youth League and the men's team, although he should still be playing at the U19 level. As a young German player with potential for development, Mark perfectly aligns with our philosophy."
Mark's Emotions and Expectations
Mark Gevorgyan also shared his thoughts and expectations regarding his move to Hannover:
"I am very excited about the new opportunity at Hannover 96. The U23 team has shown over the past two years that it is a good place for development. After my initial conversations with the people responsible for sports matters, I immediately felt that this could be a good step for me. I am very eager to meet the guys and actively work with them on the field."
Last season, Mark Gevorgyan played in 14 matches of the Austrian Second Bundesliga, as well as in 5 matches of the UEFA Youth League. He has been playing in the youth teams of Red Bull since 2017.
It is worth noting that Mark's twin brother, Mike Gevorgyan, plays for the German club 1860 Munich and had a very good season in the U19 Bundesliga.
