United World Wrestling (UWW) has released the official list of reallocated wrestling quotas for the Paris 2024 Olympics, replacing the disqualified Russian and Belarusian athletes.
UWW decided to send wrestlers who lost their matches for quotas in the qualification tournaments where quotas were won by the disqualified Russian and Belarusian athletes, but only for European representatives.
For example, in the European qualification in Baku, the quota was won by Russian Magomedkhabib Kadimagomedov, who is now ineligible for the Olympics. Kadimagomedov's quota could have been given to either Tajmuraz Salkazanov (Slovakia) or Frank Chamizo (Italy), but since Salkazanov won a quota at the world tournament, the quota goes to Chamizo, who lost the final qualification match to Turan Bayramov (Azerbaijan).
