The Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) conducted an inspection of the "Hrazdan" stadium at the request of "Pyunik" with the aim of hosting Armenian Premier League matches.
It should be noted that "Pyunik" is already holding training sessions at the legendary "Hrazdan" stadium, which, in its prime years, could accommodate more than 50,000 spectators. It is also important to note that this concerns only domestic Armenian championship matches, as "Hrazdan" does not meet the requirements for international matches, primarily due to safety concerns.
"On August 5, an inspection visit by the relevant FFA representatives took place, after which an inspection report was drawn up. The report and conclusion were sent to FC "Pyunik."
The issue of fan safety is of particular importance to the FFA, and in the final conclusion presented to the club, the importance of conducting an inspection for the seismic safety and stability of the "Hrazdan" Central Stadium and presenting a conclusion by an independent specialized organization was emphasized.
If the above point is ensured, the FFA is ready to provide advisory support on other issues regarding the stadium’s operation, as well as conduct an inspection to evaluate the work done and provide a final report on the operation of the "Hrazdan" Central Stadium," reads the statement on the official FFA website.
