"Pyunik" will face the champion of North Macedonia, FC "Struga", in the second round of the Conference League qualifiers. Pyunik's opponent was determined after the Champions League qualification, as Struga, like Pyunik, lost in the first round.
In the Champions League, Struga lost to Slovan (Bratislava) with an aggregate score of 3-6 (2-4, 1-2). In this game, Tigran Barseghyan did not participate due to injury.
Struga became the champion of North Macedonia for the second time in a row, having the same number of points as Shkëndija.
Interestingly, Struga's squad includes three former Pyunik players — Kire Ristevski, Stefan Spirovski, and Marjan Radeski, as well as former Shirak player — Bunijamin Shabani.
Overall, the team is experienced with a small number of foreign players.
The first match between "Pyunik" and "Struga" will take place in North Macedonia on July 25. The return match will be in Yerevan on August 1.
