From 24 to 26 April, Iran hosted the traditional Greco-Roman wrestling tournament Takhti Cup 2024. Wrestlers from Iran, Armenia, Syria and Iraq took part in the tournament.
Three wrestlers became silver medallists in the Armenian national team: Karen Aslanyan (63 kg), Hayk Khloyan (97 kg) and Razmik Kurdyan (130 kg). Another 5 Armenian wrestlers became bronze medallists: Davit Jotian (63kg), Hayk Melikyan (67kg), Shant Khachatryan (72kg), Samvel Grigoryan (82kg) and Albert Vardanyan (130kg).
