Egyptian sabre fencer Nada Hafez competed at the 2024 Olympics in Paris (France) while seven months pregnant. The athlete shared this on social media.
The athlete managed to reach the 1/8 finals. There, Hafez lost to her opponent from South Korea, Chung Hayung, with a score of 7:15.
“In fact, there were three of us on the platform! It was me, my opponent, and my unborn baby! My child and I had many difficulties, both physical and emotional. I am lucky that I shared the trust of my husband and my family,” the athlete wrote on social media.
