In the 58th minute, Sevikyan broke through on the right flank and made a precise cross to Vahan Bichakhchyan, who scored his fourth goal for the national team, doubling the hosts' lead.
Kazakhstan did not give up and continued to look for scoring opportunities. At the end of the match, in the 94th minute, Sergey Muradyan made a mistake, playing with his hand in his own penalty area, which led to a penalty. Bauyrzhan Islamkhan confidently converted the 11-meter shot, setting the final score at 2:1.
