It should be noted that for Riner, gold in the mixed was the second at the current Olympics after success in the over 100 kg weight category. The legendary judoka became a five-time Olympic champion, the Frenchman won two golds in his career in team competitions.
Bronze medals were won by the teams of Brazil and South Korea. The Brazilians beat Italy in the fight for the awards, while the Koreans were stronger than the German team.
