From July 20 to 24, the city of Si Racha in Thailand hosted the U-20 Asian Championship in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling. The tournament attracted many strong and promising athletes, but the wrestlers from the Iranian national team stood out the most, dominating the competition and securing first place in the team standings for both freestyle (201 points) and Greco-Roman wrestling (206 points).
The Iranian national team competed with 20 athletes (10 freestyle and 10 Greco-Roman wrestlers), 18 of whom returned with medals. In total, the Iranian team won 11 gold, 3 silver, and 4 bronze medals at the tournament.
In the team standings for freestyle wrestling, the second place went to the Kazakhstan team with 150 points, and the third place was taken by the Uzbekistan team with 136 points.
In Greco-Roman wrestling, the second place also went to the Kazakhstan team with 185 points, and the third place went to the Kyrgyzstan team with 141 points.
