Armenia's representative Serezha Barseghyan (73kg) failed to complete his performance at the World U17 Weightlifting Championships in Peru.
Serezha Barseghyan is the reigning World and European champion among young men in the weight up to 67kg. At the tournament in Lima the Armenian weightlifter performed in a new weight category of 73kg.
Serezha successfully coped with the first snatch of 125kg, but at the second snatch of 129kg he got an injury and could not continue the fight. With the result of 125kg Barseghyan took the 4th place in snatch, but he did not take part in the jerk.
Results of 73kg:
1. Bedabrat Bharali (India) - 296kg (136+160).
2. Ryan McDonald (USA) - 284kg (125+159).
3. Sergey Kotelevsky (Ukraine) - 283kg (130+153).
Let us remind that earlier Hovhannes Hovhannesyan (61kg) became the silver medallist for Armenia.
